July 2007

July 2007 saw the launch of Essential Recruitment Services. 

With an increased demand for vocational assessors and internal verifiers, trainers, lecturers, tutors and consultants across industry Essential Recruitment Services was launched to meet these demands.

December 2008

We are deighted to have moved premises. Now situated on the A6 in High Lane our new Address is St Georges House, 126 Buxton Road, High Lane, Stockport, SK6 8ED.

We have more space and training rooms, and look forward to seeing clients old and new at our new premises.

 

April 2009 - Open Day

What a fun day we had, with many clients attending our Open Day and touring our new offices.  Clients were able to participate in demo courses ranging from fire awareness to infection control. 

All clients, visitors and staff released a balloon in our Great Ballon Race,and the furthest balloon ended up in Harrogate in Yorkshire.  The winner of the bottle of champagne was Allan Morton - well done to Allan.

Investor's in People Standard Assessment - Outcome

Having carried out the assessment process in accordance with the guidelines provided for assessors by Investors In People UK, the Assessor was satisfied beyond any doubt that Essential Learning Company continues to meet the requirements of the Investors in People Standard. On behalf of Centre for Assessment & Recognition (NW) Ltd the Assessor would like to congratulate Essential Learning Company on this achievement.

Awarded ISO 9001:2008 Standard

“The quality monitoring and improvement processes are strong, such as the Self Assessment Report, Observation of Key Processes and quality improvement plan.  Learner documentation is comprehensive and provides good traceability of learner, assessor and internal verifier activities.  There are good records of the development and update of training courses, with detailed lesson plans, tutor notes, workbooks and regular evaluations.  There are good data security arrangements to protect learner and company information.  The ISO 9001:2008 checklist and action plan have been completed and ELC meets all the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 Standard.”

January 2006

The company were audited by the Adult Learning Inspectorate with favourable grades.

July 2005

The company moved to new and bigger offices.

August 2003

Essential was awarded the Investor in People certificate.

July 2003

Essential was awarded the ISO:2000 certificate.

March 2002
The company moved to new offices and larger premises. More contracts were gained. As a consequence of this success, 9 more staff joined the team and over 300 learners were trained.
March 2001

The two directors, Sharon Elliott and Clare Graham, founded the company after a management takeover from their previous employer. 5 staff and approximately 80 learners were transferred into a new assessment centre, approved by Edexcel, to complete their NVQ programmes.
